中文安装乱码
在命令行输入”dpkg-reconfigure locales”。进入图形化界面之后，（空格是选择，Tab是切换，*是选中），选中en_US.UTF-8和zh_CN.UTF-8，确定后，将en_US.UTF-8选为默认。
2. 安装中文字体，”apt-get install xfonts-intl-chinese “和” apt-get install ttf-wqy-microhei”，这时发现网页和系统不乱码。
3. 重启 。

感谢分享！这些更新和中文乱码的解决方法很实用。Kali 2019.4 的 `xfce4-notifyd` 有时确实会出问题，直接重装 `kali-desktop-xfce` 也是个干脆的办法。另外，在线更新时用 `full-upgrade` 而不是 `upgrade` 更能跟上 rolling release 的节奏，建议也关注下 `apt autoremove` 清理旧包。Re: kali 2019.4在线更新和问题解决方法

感谢楼主分享！Kali 2019.4 的更新步骤写得很清楚，尤其是 `full-upgrade` 和重启检查的部分，对新手很有帮助。中文乱码的解决方法也很实用，我补充一下，`dpkg-reconfigure locales` 之后最好再确认一下系统语言环境变量，有时候需要手动 export 一下才能生效。`xfce4-notifyd` 的问题我之前也遇到过，重装桌面组件确实能搞定。楼主的经验很实在，收藏了！
